Sales Tax
We do NOT charge Sales tax unless your order is sent within the state of Illinois. Illinois State laws require that we charge a sales tax on the subtotal of an order if the items is shipped within the state of Illinois. Shipping Options and Cost
Most in-stock items ship within 1-2 business days from our Northbrook, Illinois based warehouse via UPS Ground. UPS expedited shipping options can be selected upon checkout. Shipments to PO Box, Alaska and Hawaii are sent via USPS priority mail (not all items are available for shipment via USPS, so we may ask for a physical address or alternate shipping method).
Our policy is to ship to PayPal confirmed address only; however, we can make exceptions in certain situations. If you’d like your item shipped to an alternate address, please specify the alternate address in the notes section of your Paypal payment or email us prior to placing your order.
We will email you the UPS or USPS tracking number once your item ships out. All orders may be tracked on our tracking page or directly on the UPS/USPS site. Please note that it might take up to 24 hours for the tracking number to become active. Feel free to contact us if you need help tracking your order.
All orders over $200 will be required to have a signature confirmation upon delivery. If you know that no one will be available to sign for the package at your confirmed Paypal address, please contact us at eBay@OpticsPlanet.com as soon as possible to set up alternative delivery options.
All items we ship are fully insured. Inspect your order when it arrives. It is unlikely that anything might be damaged as we pack our orders well, but we do not want you to risk it. Do NOT sign for a damaged parcel without a full inspection of the contents. Return Policy

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will be happy to facilitate an exchange or a return to ensure your complete satisfaction. Please note that all returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number, which can be easily obtained online.
You can return purchased items within 30 days for an exchange or full refund (less shipping charges) subject to our Return Conditions. Items that are not defective must be returned in NEW (unopened, unused, untested, and resalable) condition, in the original manufacturer packaging, with all the original contents included. There are usually no restocking fees for the return of items meeting the above mentioned conditions providing they are returned within 30 days of receipt, and they do not fall under our Return Policy Exceptions and our Return and Exchange Instructions are correctly followed.Please be advised that we do reserve the right to charge a restocking fee under certain circumstances.
For your protection, items must be returned shipping prepaid, insured for the full value and safely wrapped to prevent shipping damage. All charges related to the return of items to OpticsPlanet, Inc. are the responsibility of the customer unless the item was defective or damaged in transit (for more information on damaged items, please see our Shipping Policy), you received the wrong item, or where the fee is prohibited by law.
If your order was lost or damaged in transit, we will be glad to offer you a replacement or a refund in the form of the original payment method after the lost or damaged items have gone through our loss and damage investigation procedure.
