The current tools for cutting automotive radiator hoses include razor blades and hacksaws. Both of these tools are time consuming and leave ragged edges. They are increasingly inadquate, as the hoses used in new cars become thicker and stronger. It will take about 10-15 minutes to cut a new Benz hose and the cut will not be straight and clean. Using a hacksaw will take as long and will have an unprofessional looking edge. The new V8 3001 can make a straight and clean cut in barely a few seconds.

Using the V8 3001 Hose Cutter is fast and easy. Getting the perfect cut however, does take some practice. Following these simple tips will hone your skills... |
- Always keep the hose at a right angle to the blade.
- The open end of soft hose tends to flex more than the other side of the hose. Consequentially you may have difficulty maintaining a right angle relation between the hose and the blade and you may have an uneven cut.
- The solution is that you may use your thumb to push down on the other side of the hose in order to maintain the right angle position of the hose.
- (For your safety, please keep your thumb at least 1-1/2" away from the blade.)

- This blade is EXTREMELY SHARP! HANDLE WITH CARE!
- DO NOT CUT HOSE REINFORCED WITH STEEL WIRE. You will damage the blade!
