We have relationships with various flooring brands and suppliers. For many of these, we are the chosen wholesale clearance option. Unless we clearly indicate it on an auction, we do not carry seconds. Not every brand of floor is available all of the time. We specialize in opportunistic buys, which are often in set or limited quantities. If we do have it, you will save up to 75% off the retail price.
Here are a couple of the ways we get our products:
Manufacture overstocks
Manufactures estimate how much material they will sell every year. If they overestimate sales and produce too much product, they are in an overstock situation. To maintain positive cash flow, the manufacturer is forced to liquidate this overestimated inventory. We pay cash upfront. Using Simplefloors to liquidate this inventory is fast and efficient for them and keeps the product out of their regular retail supply chain.
Cancelled orders
Sometimes individual and retail chain stores will cancel orders. Estimating necessary purchase quantities for a store is not an exact science. When retailers miss their quarterly estimates we step in to pick up the merchandise they cancel. We purchase this excess inventory at a fraction of the original invoice and then auction the savings on to you.
Extended Construction Project Delays
Large multi home project delays create extra inventory. Flooring material is purchased in container/truckload quantities for large construction projects. Long-term delays can result from various reasons, such as financial or delays in permit. Depending on the length of the delay, it may make sense for the project manager to liquidate the building material rather than having it tie up financial reserves and monthly storage rent. Our auctions provide a quick and efficient method for clearing quality flooring material.
Efficient Shipping
Your floor ships within 24 hours of payment clearing. We use nationwide carriers to ship our products, and every order gets a tracking number. We have negotiated reasonable discounts with these carriers to lower the cost of shipping to you. We are happy to provide you an actual shipping quote as well as arrange your shipping. We do not profit in any way from the shipping rates, what we are quoted is what we charge you. If you prefer to use your own shipping method, please feel free.
